Hello,

My name is Kevin and this blog is serving as an aid in my pursuit of the holy grail that is the CCIE. It is going to be a challenge but worth a a shot.  I am currently trying to get to an indepth knowledge of all the relavant technologies that Cisco have specified in the new CCIE V4 Bluprint and then will start the implementation/configuration stage of the CCIE process. For those of you following my posts you will notice that detailed posts of the technologies will be followed by the configuration posts  both in text and video based format. I am hoping to sit the new written exam for the CCIE something in spring of 2010.

 

I have over 10 years experience in the area of networking and I.T in general. My academic background is in Electronics. The day of graduation I got a job offer working for a cabling company in Cisco Data Center in Amesterdam and havent looked back since. Following a lot of cable pulling and termination over the following years I sat my CCNA , worked my way from helpdesk support roles to NOC poistion in Cable and Wireless to various  Network Engineering roles. I have CCNP and various other IT based certifcation from Checkpoint , Comptia and am determined to  have a decent stab at the CCIE.

 

I live in Dublin Ireland ,with my Financee and 5 month old baby girl. I enjoy all sorts of technologies , mountain biking and am currently racking up way too much time on Modern Warfare 2 ,  it is wayyy too adictive.

 

As I am learning some of the  technologies as a I go ,  I would appreciate any feedback . comments or RSS subscriptions.
